Chicago Store Opening

One love!

Dear fingerboard scene,

We are writing today completely exhausted and with a big smile on our faces.

A very busy year is slowly coming to an end, and it has taken a lot out of us. We celebrated our 25th anniversary, were part of the 2nd Fingerboard Con in Massachusetts, had a great and successful Fast Fingers 21, redesigned our website and opened our first store in the USA on October 12th. We would like to tell you a little bit about the latter:

We have been planning to offer something special to our US customers for quite some time, and now we have finally made it happen. There is now a Blackriver store in Chicago, open Thursday through Sunday from 11am to 6pm. There are fingerboard parks for shredding, the complete Blackriver product range and many other little things that make fingerboarders' hearts beat faster.

The road to this milestone was hard, stressful and full of hurdles. It was only thanks to the tireless efforts of our team that we were able to open the doors to a fingerboarding starting point on October 12th at 1 pm local time. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Jule, Alex, Stolly, Jeldo, Chris, John, Tobias, Nash and especially Rikki & Andy. Without you (and a few other helping hands) none of this would have been possible.

But even before the doors opened, we were overwhelmed by your positive feedback. There were so many fingerboard enthusiasts that we were only able to let the crowd in in groups and give everyone a limited time in the store. We are sorry for that. Please come back if you want to spend more time in the store

Nevertheless, the atmosphere remained positive throughout and we couldn't be happier to have such great (and most of all patient) fans and to be part of such a positive scene

At the end of the day, we were just happy that our offer was so well received and we hope that the Blackriver Store Chicago will remain a point of contact for the entire scene in the future. It should be a safe place for every fingerboard fan. A place where you can meet and exchange ideas and where you can enjoy your next session without any worries.

So, dear scene! We look back with exhaustion, but also with pride on a year that really pushed fingerboarding forward and brought some new opportunities. We hope you had as much fun as we did and we'll see you soon at the new Blackriver Store Chicago.
